The RGADC XI during its Reorganizational Meeting for the term 2025-2028 at the DEPDev – RDC XI Center.

Davao City, September 16, 2025 – The Regional Gender and Development Committee (RGADC) XI, a special committee under the Regional Development Council (RDC) XI, was reorganized for the term 2025-2028 during its 3rd Quarter Meeting held on September 16, 2025 at the DEPDev – RDC XI Center, Km. 7 Bangkal, Davao City.  RDC XI Acting Chairperson and Department of Economy, Planning and Development (DEPDev) XI, Regional Director Priscilla R. Sonido presided the  reorganizational meeting.  

Following the reorganization of the RDC XI on August 12, 2025, the RGADC XI was reorganized pursuant to the NEDA – PCW Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2016-01, “Guidelines for the Creation, Strengthening & Institutionalization of a Regional Gender and Development Committee under the Regional Development Council”.   

For the term 2025-2028, the Committee is composed of 39 members from the government and the private sector.  Through a unanimous decision, the Committee selected the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) XI as the Committee Chairperson.   

As part of its meeting agenda, the reorganized RGADC XI initially discussed the adoption of an overall Gender and Development (GAD) Framework that shall provide a clear strategic direction towards strengthening its roles and function in Davao Region.   

The Committee also agreed to formulate a six-year Regional GAD Agenda to further reinforce the efficient discharge of its mandate. In support of this undertaking, the Committee approved the creation of a Technical Working Group (TWG) to serve as the Planning Team tasked with developing both the overall GAD Framework and an evidence-based, comprehensive six-year Regional GAD Agenda.
