
(Davao City, December 3, 2025). The Regional Development Council (RDC) XI recognized the six (6) winners for the CY 2024 Search for Project Implementation and Monitoring Excellence in Davao Region (DavPrIME) during the RDC XI 4th Quarter Meeting on December 3, 2025, at the Sotogrande Hotel.
DavPrIME is a distinctive initiative of the Davao Region, spearheaded by the Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC) XI as part of its mandate to promote excellence, accountability, and results-based monitoring of government programs and projects, making it one of the few regional award mechanisms in the country that systematically recognizes excellence in both project implementation and monitoring.
The awards for Best Government Infrastructure Project were given to the Establishment of the Pilot Nature-based Vertical Helophyte Wastewater Filtration System at MPLS-PAMO, White Beach Resort and Toyozu Mountain Resort in Davao de Oro, implemented by Department of Environment and Natural Resources XI – Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office Davao de Oro; and the Construction of the Vertical Helophyte Filter System for Wastewater Treatment at Maa Slaughterhouse in Davao City, led by Department of Science and Technology (DOST) XI. These projects were recognized for their innovative, cost-efficient, and scalable solutions addressing persistent wastewater management concerns in the region.
The Establishment of 3D-Artificial Clay Reefs (3D-ACR) in Pujada Bay, Davao Oriental by the Davao Oriental State University and the Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology (CEST) Program by DOST XI were recognized as the Best Government Non-Infrastructure Projects. These initiatives were lauded for their significant contributions to environmental protection, community empowerment, and sustainable local development.
The Davao del Norte Provincial PMC was recognized as the Best Provincial Project Monitoring Committee for its comprehensive RPMES reports, rigorous and systematic on-site inspections, and innovative adoption of the Enhanced Management Information System (EMIS), setting a high standard for project monitoring excellence.
Meanwhile, the Best City/Municipal Project Monitoring Committee award was given to the Davao City PMC, for its robust monitoring activities, institutional reforms, and the development of the Davao City Planning Information System (DCPIS), benefiting over 50 local departments and offices.
Governor Jubahib congratulated the winners and emphasized that strong monitoring systems and innovative project implementation are essential to sustaining the region’s growth. He noted that these awardees embody the spirit of good governance, accountability, and excellence in public service, and that their commitment directly contributes to the RDC XI’s mission of ensuring programs and projects genuinely uplift communities across the Davao Region.
The DavPrIME awards aim to highlight outstanding infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects that advance the region’s development priorities, as well as honor PMCs that demonstrate excellence in project monitoring, planning, and reporting consistent with the Regional Project Monitoring and Evaluation System (RPMES).
