The RDC XI Advisory Committee convened for its CY 2022 First Semester Meeting on May 19, 2022 through Zoom platform. The meeting was presided over by RDC XI Chairperson and Davao de Oro Governor Jayvee Tyron Uy.

The RDC XI AdCom is composed of the Members of the House of Representatives in Davao Region, the RDC XI Executive Committee (ExCom), and Senators Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa and Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go as special members.  Also in attendance was Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) Development Management Officer V Gerardo Ramon Cesar Reynaldo, representing the designated Cabinet Officer for Regional Development and Security (CORDS) for Davao Region and MinDA Chairperson, Secretary Maria Belen S. Acosta.

Among the matters discussed during the said meeting are the following: (a) pending bills endorsed by the RDC XI AdCom in CY 2021; (b) summary of RDC XI-endorsed FY 2023 budget proposals and funding requirements for Davao Region’s flagship infrastructure projects, as well as NEDA’s initiatives on promoting regional equity; and (c) Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges XI’s Position Paper on Davao Region State Universities and Colleges’ shares in the National Government Budget.

Congressman Ungab, along with the representatives of Davao Region’s Congresspersons and Senators Dela Rosa and Go, committed to further assist in seeing through the enactment of the priority legislative measures which are critical for the sustained development of Davao Region. 

MinDA Secretary Acosta, conveyed a message of support to RDC XI-endorsed FY 2023 budget proposals and funding requirements for Davao Region’s flagship infrastructure projects. MinDA also committed to lobby for a larger budget share in Davao Region, especially for projects with inter-regional impact in Mindanao.
