The RDC XI Full Council conducted its CY 2023 Year-end meeting on December 15, 2023 at the Discovery Samal Resort, Island Garden City of Samal, Davao del Norte. The meeting was presided over by RDC XI Acting Chairperson and Private Sector Representative (PSR) Arturo M. Milan.

Among the matters tackled during the meeting include the updates from the Technical Working Group on Establishing Davao Region as the Logistics Hub of Southern Philippines, the CY 2023 Davao Regional Development Report, indicative schedule and co-hosting of RDC XI Meetings in CY 2024, and the RDC XI Sectoral/Special Committee matters. Holiday greetings from the different Sectoral and Special Committees of the Council were shown through a video presentation. In his video greetings, Acting Chair Milan expressed his hope for a better future for Davao Region through the Council’s commitment and passion to achieve the Region’s shared goals and collective vision.

During the meeting, the Council recognized the 15 years of unparalleled service and invaluable leadership of RDC XI Vice Chairperson and NEDA XI Regional Director Maria Lourdes Lim. RD Lim started her stint as Vice Chairperson of the Council in 2008. Her dedicated service significantly contributes to the inclusive and sustainable development of Davao Region. The Council’s 2 Executive Committee Members, DILG XI Regional Director Alex C. Roldan and DTI XI Regional Director Maria Belenda Q. Ambi were also recognized for their dedicated commitment as Chairpersons of the Council’s Development and Administration Committee (DAC) XI and Economic Development Committee (EDC) XI for the terms 2019-2022 and 2022-2023, respectively. The retirement of the three RDC XI Officials from their current Director IV positions shall take effect early next year.
